About – Richard Jones Pit BBQ originated in Austin, TX. It was franchised in California by owner Will Mynar in 1982. Will decided to set up his first location in Anaheim Hills, CA. Will and his family soon needed to expand. That is when the decision was made to open a 2nd restaurant.
The 2nd restaurant was established in Fullerton, CA. Here Will, his family, and dedicated staff worked the 20,000 square foot restaurant. Whether you played pool, did some country dancing, or just wanted some fantastic BBQ, this was the place.
The 3rd Richard Jones Pit BBQ was placed in Fountain Valley, CA. A truly nice place to live made the Richard Jones restaurant a perfect fit. The restaurants where great but it was time to move onto a new frontier for Will:
In 1996, Will successfully moved his 3 restaurants to Santa Ana, CA. Since its inception, Richard Jones Pit BBQ Catering has served over 6 million guests and has taken care of 1000’s of events. We service Orange county, Los Angeles county, San Bernardino county, Riverside county and San Diego county.
